Despite concerted efforts by the biotech and pharma industries, the cost of therapy and biomarker development continues to rise. A key driver for this stubbornly upward trend is the necessity to develop personalized drug therapies, taking into account the patient's genotype, that target increasingly complex disease mechanisms.

In the area of predictive analytics and computational biology much progress has been made in recent years to help address some of the key challenges in target & biomarker discovery. Euretos, together with the Leiden University Medical Centre, have been working closely in this area, with notable success in predicting biomarkers and targets.
